Beautiful 1922 Cadillac in green. While there were other V-8 engines produced prior to this, Cadillac has the distinction being the first to really mass-produce the V-8 engine. Cadillacs were expensive even over 100 years ago; the starting price of even the lowest-cost new Cadillac in the 1922 line would be over $75,000 in 2026 dollars. These were the standard for luxury vehicles in the General Motors range of cars.
