This is a beautiful example of a “Speedster” configuration of the Ford Model A. The “Speedster” was never an official model for Ford but represents a major chapter of automotive history. “Speedster” versions of the model A consisted of custom bodywork mated to a Model A chassis & drivetrain. This configuration was prized by early track & racing enthusiasts, the emphasis being on light weight & performance gain rather than comfort.
